Our LEGOLAND Discovery Center Adventure

( I received this day trip for a review, but all opinions are my own. This is a sponsored post by LEGOLAND Discovery Center).

With a rainy day ahead of us, we loaded up and headed out for a fun-filled indoor trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Our kiddos were dressed in their Halloween costumes all ready to go, and my husband was just as excited as they were.

Atlanta is about 1.5-2 hour drive from us but definitely worth it! Once we arrived, we found parking in the underground parking garage, which saved us from the rainy weather no doubt! One elevator ride up and we were there!

Looking in from the outside through the huge glass windows that covered the whole right "wing" of LEGOLAND, had so much more in store for us than we could possibly ever imagine.

The lines were slim during this time, as everyone had already made their way into the center to begin building! The staff at the front desk were so helpful, got us setup right away, and sent us off on our LEGOLAND adventure. Vaeh and Nathan stood in front of the FOX Theater lego mural for a quick picture with anticipation on entering!

We got to see anything and everything designed out of legos! We even got to weigh ourselves in the form of legos! The center has the cutest busy areas for kids where they can build and let their imaginations run wild!

After going through the first part of LEGOLAND, we turned the corner to see medieval castles! We began to hear medieval music and was informed that we were about to embark on a LEGO chariot to zap the beastly trolls and sneaky skeletons to save the Princess who had been captured! We hopped aboard our chariot, on a Kingdom Quest, and used our laser guns to fight against the trolls and skeletons which lead to rescuing the Princess! This ride was such a fun little experience for all of us! Tip: At the end of the ride, be sure to look for the "SAY CHEESE" signs for your picture to be taken, and displayed for you to purchase at the exit.

Once we got done there, we made our way to MINILAND. An amazingly crafted replica of Atlanta using nearly 1.5 MILLION LEGO bricks, with moving cars and trains! Nathan loved the little construction sites and the moving construction workers. Check out some of the images below. As you can see MINILAND incorporates both night and day and the lights are spectacular during MINILAND'S nightfall.

We thought we'd be walking back into the LEGOLAND store at this point but we actually entered another amazing room, which included Merlin's Apprentice Ride! We had a blast peddling the enchanted carts in Merlin's magical potions chamber and became the next wizarding apprentices!

Once you exit the ride, you're in the fun-zone! The coolest place for parents to interact with the kiddos on a LEGO pirate-themed island adventure. While Nathan and I played at some of the sensory tables, my husband had taken Vaeh to The Great LEGO Race VR Experience. They loved, I loved it, and we officially want one just to have at home! So much fun!

I don't know about you all but, after adventuring and playing, we were hungry and could definitely take a min to rest up and get some refreshments. So we made our way over to the LEGO cafe and talked about how fun our trip had been and all of our favorite LEGOLAND activities.

We had such a blast, we're already planning next year's visit! Vaeh has requested to have an awesome LEGOLAND birthday party right there at the discovery center. I'm honestly looking forward to it because they have the cutest birthday party rooms and literally provide just about everything and their staff is beyond helpful and happy to be at the discovery center.

If you're in the area, and are looking for something fun to do with the family, head on over to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center! Even better, they have their HOLIDAY BRICKTACULAR event coming up starting December 1st all the way through the month of December! Don't miss out, you may even run into a life-sized LEGOLAND Santa!

See you all on the next blog!
