Cran-Apple Cobbler with a twist!

Hey, friends!

Today on the blog I am sharing one of many of my late Mamaw's recipes! This dish is fun, easy, and perfect for the holidays! Keep in mind you can alternate different fruits, per your liking. I will also be sharing a delicious side dish that my kiddos absolutely loved! (Serves 8-10)!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Cups: Sliced Peeled Apples

2 1/2 Cups: Sliced Peeled Pears

1 to 1 1/4 Cups: Sugar

1 Cup: Fresh or Frozen Cranberries (thawed)

1 Cup: Water

3 TBSP: Quick Cooking Tapioca

3 TBSP: Red-Hot Candies (optional)

1/2 TSP: Ground Cinnamon

2 TBSP: Butter or Margarine

Instructions:

In a large sauce pan:

Combine the 1st eight ingredients. Let stand for 5 minutes. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil (about 18 minutes). Transfer mixture to a greased 2 qt baking dish, top with butter.

For a large pot or dutch oven:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients into the pot, stir well. Bake for 25 minutes.

Side: Fried Ice Cream

I found this delicious and SUPER EASY Fried Ice Cream from Cooking Classy! Click here for a tutorial on how to make this yummy side!

I hope you enjoy! I know I enjoyed re-creating one of my late Mamaw's recipes! She was an amazing cook, and very near and dear to my heart. We miss her every day! Baking or re-creating her dishes, brings me joy, even if I am not the best in the kitchen! If you know me, you already know. I can try though, and showing my kids her recipes and keeping tradition alive in my little family means everything to me. Especially around this time of the year.

If you decide to make this dish, please tag me via Instagram so I can share! Happy Holidays!
